The Beginning

When we thought about doing the project, the only thing we had in mind was that we had to do something related to creative arts, painting in particular. We went through a lot of iterations about what the core aim should be.

A few of the things that we went through discussing about while brainstorming were:

• Converting dance into paintings.

• Spray painting a 3D model

• Graffiti on the wall

So, to start with the first project during week one, we had done interviews with 8 professional painters and dancers , the interviews were made with open questions about how it is that we could go about deciding on how do they define a good dance move and how do we relate it to a concept of good brush stroke. It was quite hard to bring about conclusions from the responses that we had received from the interviews. One of the things that we did not have in mind was to consider traditional painters and not the digital artists, which I think would have given a better perspective of the problem statement. Since we did not have much time to delve into the research concepts, we decided to start off with a spray painting on the wall in a graphical environment.
